Dental Implants

Notting Hill Dental Clinic

Transform your smile with the permanence and confidence of dental implants.

Are you Missing Teeth?

A single missing tooth or multiple missing teeth can be distressing. Gaps due to missing teeth will impact your confidence when interacting with other people and also your ability to eat properly.

There are several solutions available for replacing your missing teeth. These are dental implants, dental bridges, and removable dentures ( plates). For our patients in Notting Hill, Kensington, and Westminster the dental implant has been the clear favorite amongst the above options for many years.

A dental implant is the closest solution we can offer to the natural design of a tooth. It is a fixed solution where the missing tooth’s root is replaced with a screw shaped rod made of Titanium positioned in the jaw bone which then can support a single ceramic crown or dental bridge in the case of multiple teeth losses and even be used as anchorage for removable dentures, which will then have better stability and retention.

Your smile and your health can be greatly impacted by tooth loss. We do everything that we can to help patients enjoy their natural teeth for a lifetime. Statistics show, however, that many adults will unfortunately lose a tooth before the age of fifty. If you have lost one tooth or you need to replace a number of missing or unhealthy teeth, rest assured we can help you.

Our implant dentists have decades of experience when it comes to placement and restoring teeth with dental implants and are offering a free implant consultation. hey will assess your suitability for implants and provide you with all available options, including non-implant-based solutions, you may have and will also give you information about costs for all options during this session.

Notting Hill Dental Clinic offers unparalleled care in a friendly environment. Our implant dentist Dr Michael Fahami has been treating patients for more than thirty years. He has extensive experience in practicing dentistry and providing dental implants in the UK and also in Sweden since 1992 and was a former trainer for young dentists in Oxford Deanery for many years. In addition to his general dental education and training in Sweden, Michael dedicated another two years to post-graduate training focused on the area of implant surgery in the UK.

Dental implants are tiny prosthetics that replace the roots of the missing teeth. These titanium posts are inserted into your jawbone and act naturally as the surrounding bone fuses onto them. A tooth-coloured crown is then attached to act as a missing tooth solution. For more than one missing tooth, multiple implants and crowns or a dental bridge can be used to replace several missing teeth. Dental implants can even be used to replace a full set of missing teeth.

We have been placing implants for thirty years and we continue to enjoy the reaction that our patients have when they realise they have regained their smile and their confidence. There are numerous benefits to dental implant treatment that cannot be found in other methods of tooth replacement.

A single tooth can be replaced without relying on support from neighbouring teeth and therefore compromising those teeth. This facilitates the preservation of the natural tooth structure of neighbouring teeth for long-term oral health.

Implants may be used as support to a dental bridge aimed at replacing multiple missing teeth. Denture support can also be obtained with the placement of as few as four dental implants in the jaw.

Implants act in the same manner as natural tooth roots, providing benefits both above and below the gums. One of the primary concerns with tooth loss is the subsequent loss of bone and gum tissue that occurs over time. The longer the stimulation from natural roots or suitable replacements is lacking, the more degeneration occurs. When we place dental implants into the jaw to replace missing roots, stimulation to bone tissue can continue and the bone volume and the gum height are preserved and maintained.

Many people ask the question: “Are dental implants worth it?” We understand that the procedure may seem a bit daunting, but we are here to reassure you that the dentists at Notting Hill Dental Clinic have been providing dental implant treatment for over thirty years. We continue to enjoy seeing the reaction that our patients mostly from Chelsea, Kensington, and Notting Hill, but also as far away as the Channel Islands, Oxford, and Bristol in the UK and from abroad as far away as the Middle East have when they realise that they have regained their smile and their confidence.

Benefits of dental implants include:

- Unlike dentures or false teeth, dental implants are fixed and will give you the confidence and comfort normally associated with having a healthy natural tooth.
- A new smile will boost your confidence and self-esteem
- You can speak naturally
- You can eat all of your favorite foods
- Dental implants act like tooth roots and will prevent any loss of bone tissue which can occur with tooth loss
