Customised brackets are made using impressions of your teeth and these will be attached to your teeth in a very precise way so that your teeth can be straightened. Wires will also be customised and applied to connect your brackets. The interconnecting wire forms the pressure that will straighten your teeth.

It is important that that the lingual braces are applied and fitted in the correct way because they are positioned in challenging places; the backs of the teeth in particular are harder to reach. For this reason, all of the brackets are usually cemented on to your teeth at the same time using a customised tray which holds them in place.
